All sponsored meal functions will include your organization/company’s name listed in the meeting notebook provided to all attendees, recognition from the podium, and a sign at the function listing your sponsorship. For sponsorships of $5,000 and above, additional benefits will include tent cards displaying your organization/company’s name placed on all tables (where applicable), the opportunity to include a full page insert in the meeting notebook describing your organization or company’s services and products, and one free registration for each $5,000 increment.

The names of all sponsors will be prominently acknowledged in all participants’ materials and displayed at the function. Several sponsors may wish to join together to contribute to the larger events.

Welcome Reception, Tuesday, April 5, $3,000

The Welcome Reception will be Tuesday evening from 5:30PM to 7:00PM. An informal icebreaker with a hosted bar and finger food, it enables meeting attendees to get reacquainted with friends and colleagues and to develop new relationships.

Breakfasts (3), Wed-Fri, April 6-8, $1,500 each

The three breakfasts on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday will be in the Exhibit Area and will offer pastries, coffee, and juice for meeting participants. Attendees appreciate having access to a quick light breakfast before heading into the morning session.

Lunches (2), Wed-Thu, April 6-7, $2,000 each

Each of the two lunches features a special event. The lunch on Wednesday will include the 2016 EERI Distinguished Lecture, delivered by Gregory G. Deierlein. Lunch on Thursday includes presentation of the 2016 EERI Honors and Annual Business Meeting.

Poster Sessions and Receptions (2), Wed-Thu, April 6-7, $1,000 each

Wednesday’s poster session runs from 3:30PM to 7:30PM in the Seismic Design Competition area. There will be a poster reception and auction from 6:00PM to 7:30PM. Thursday’s poster session and reception will be in the Exhibit Area from 5:30PM to 7:00PM. The poster receptions include snacks, soft drinks, and a cash bar.

Coffee Breaks (4), Wed-Thu, April 6-7, morning and afternoon each day, $750 each

Mid-morning and mid-afternoon coffee breaks are scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday in the Exhibit Area.

Seismic Design Competition, opportunities available from $500-$5,000

The Student Leadership Council (SLC), a group of volunteer graduate students, is organizing the 13th annual Seismic Design Competition (SDC) for undergraduate students. The SDC advances the SLC's mission to provide opportunities for undergraduates to develop leadership and interpersonal skills, and to have practical experience and exposure within the earthquake engineering fields. Donations subsidize the cost to students to participate in the SDC, breakfast and lunch during two days of presentations and shaking, coffee breaks, and the costs incurred by the SLC to organize the competition.

Post-Earthquake Reconnaissance Workshop, Tuesday, April 5, $1,000

The Student Leadership Council (SLC) and EERI staff are organizing a post-earthquake evaluation workshop for students for Tuesday afternoon.This workshop will provide overviews of conducting post-earthquake reconnaissance in structural and geotechnical engineering and demonstrations of EERI field data collection tools. The workshop will include a field exercise that will give participants the opportunity to practice making reconnaissance observations using the demonstrated tools. EERI members who complete this training will be well-positioned to contribute effectively to reconnaissance efforts following an earthquake in their area.
